Tis the season for the 2013 business plan. Join SMPS Charlotte and a panel of experts as they forecast the 2013 economic outlook. We are excited to have members of the North Carolina Economic Development as well as regional economic developers.

Moderator:

Ryan McDaniels: Vice President of Cabarrus County Economic Development

Ryan is responsible for recruiting new businesses to Cabarrus County.  He works closely with company officials to educate them on our business climate and available real estate sites and buildings.  He handles financial incentive negotiations, oversees research and GIS functions, and maintains a relationship with brokers and developers at the local and national level.

 

Speaker's Panel:

Uconda Dunn, Existing Industry Specialist, North Carolina Dept. of Commerce

Tarboro native Uconda Dunn has been an existing industry specialist with Commerce's 12-county Charlotte region for two years. She works with businesses from a variety of industries, from small machining companies to large energy companies. Her most recent project was the expansion of clean-energy company SCR-Tech, which plans to add 61 jobs in Charlotte.

Michael Flynn, Vice President, Economic Development Services at Charlotte Regional Partnership

As vice president of economic development services, Michael develops client relationships that build and maintain the Partnership’s business network. In addition, he markets Charlotte, USA throughout the world and facilitates client visits to the region, providing introductions to key allies and partners, and remaining a resource for clients once they locate in the region.
