This state-of-the-art facility was recently named Food Engineering Magazine's Plant of the Year, recognizing its innovation and excellence in food manufacturing. Carolina Foods', the beloved maker of Honey Buns and Gem Donuts, has been a staple in Charlotte for more than 90 years. They operated out of their historic South End location before expanding to this modern, 425,000 SF facility on a 40-acre site. The new bakery is designed to support large-scale production and distribution for Carolina Foods.
 
Whiting-Turner partnered with developer Beacon Partners and Carolina Foods to deliver this multi-phase project tailored for advanced baking operations, packaging, shipping and modern administrative spaces. During the tour, you'll learn how the team overcame unique challenges, coordinated complex mechanical and electrical work and integrated automated ingredient handling systems.

Cancellations made 72-hours prior to the event will receive a refund. Due to our commitment with the meeting facility for food and beverage quantities, all other cancellations or no-shows will be invoiced for the full cost of the event.
