It's important for marketing and business development professionals to stay up-to-date with green initiatives in building design and construction. Brian Lomel, Principal and Director of TLC Engineering Solutions' PEAK Institute (TLC's sustainability research team) will describe goals, terms and the evolution of green building (primarily in the southeastern US).
This interactive presentation will address:
- Demystifying Sustainability-speak: Decarbonization, Operational carbon, Embodied carbon, Net Zero, Resilience, GHG, GWP, mTCO2e, …
- Applying these concepts to various markets: federal, local/municipal, private development, higher ed, k-12, residential, healthcare commercial, hospitality, etc.
- Standardizing & Quantifying: LEED, WELL, FitWell, GSA's P-100, AIA 2030 challenge / MEP 2040 / structural 2050 challenge and useful credentials for marketing professionals (LEED Green Associate, WELL, FitWel, etc.)
- Part of the definition of “sustainable" is making a profit.
