Looking Ahead at the Technology-Driven Parking Industry
During this SMPS Charlotte virtual luncheon, Nick Mazzenga, P.E. will provide an overview of parking technologies within the AEC industry, discuss the future of parking technology, and share his thoughts on the parking industry and the impact from connected and autonomous vehicles. The parking industry is constantly transforming as new and existing technologies are transformed and rolled out. Some of the areas which Nick will touch on include Parking Guidance Systems, License Plate Recognition, Frictionless Parking, Mobile Apps, and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations.
Nick’s presentation will be followed by break-out networking groups.

Meet Nick

Nick Mazzenga, P.E., is a parking technology consultant with Kimley-Horn and a registered professional engineer. Nick focuses on the implementation of sustainable technology solutions supporting long-term operations and maintenance efficiency. Nick has performed parking technology assessments for a range of clients to include airports, municipalities, universities, and healthcare. He serves on the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI) Technology Committee and is passionate about leveraging technology to improve transportation infrastructure. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Virginia.
