THIS EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A LATER DATE.
Museums and A/E/C firms have the same problem: we need to convey technical information to audiences in a way that doesn’t bore them to death. This workshop will equip attendees with museums’ proven technique for crafting engaging statements that draw the audience in: thematic interpretation.
As institutions with an educational mission, museums have done a lot of research into how people learn outside of the classroom. Museums developed thematic interpretation to help visitors retain the large amounts of information conveyed during a museum visit, and we marketers can leverage it to make our messaging more engaging (and thus more memorable) to our audiences.
Attendees will leave the workshop with the ability to develop interpretive themes that make their firms’ work shine. By the end of the workshop, you will have developed the framework for a new theme-based project sheet that you can continue to refine later.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe why thematic interpretation is an effective way to present information
- Develop interpretive themes for their firm’s work
- Use interpretive themes in their firm’s messaging
