Please join us as Bobby L. Walston, PE, Director of the Division of Aviation at NCDOT, provides an introduction to the NCDOT – Division of Aviation (DOA). During his presentation, Mr. Walston will cover the services provided by DOA, as well as some history and interesting information about what aviation means to our state. He will also touch on the topic of the ever-growing aerospace industry and companies that are in NC. Lastly he will introduce the NCDOT Strategic Transportation Investment Fund (STI) and explain what these changes in funding means to airports, as well as overall transportation projects.

North Carolina has 72 publicly owned airports that are eligible for funding from the state and the Federal Aviation Administration.  Ten are commercial service airports and the remaining 62 are general aviation facilities.
